The mega-popular hard seltzer brand, ‘White Claw’, has apparently become so popular that there are now shortages in the United States.

According to CNN, the hard seltzer brand has confirmed the nationwide shortage. Sanjiv Gajiwala, White Claw’s senior vice president of marketing, addressed the shortage situation. “We are working around the clock to increase supply given the rapid growth in consumer demand,” he said. “White Claw has accelerated faster than anyone could have predicted,” he added. No official date has been given for stock to return to normal, but the company is reportedly devoting time and resources to expediting the process.

White Claw has seen an explosion of sales and popularity this year, with sales of the drink growing 283% to $327.7 million in July, compared to the same period last year. This increased popularity has fed into public interest and resulted in many viral social media trends and discussion.
