WATCH: Elk Grove Singer Nails ‘The Voice’ Blind Audition

For the second season in a row, the Sacramento area has a competitor on ‘The Voice.’

27-year-old Jacob Danial Murphy from Elk Grove slayed the blind auditions of The Voice with his rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Until You Come Back to Me.”

While ultimately scoring a place on Blake Shelton’s team, Murphy received an abundance of praise from the other judges. Nick Jonas said the performance was “phenomenal” while John Legend call his voice “exceptional.”

Congrats Jacob. We’ll be watching and cheering for you!
