If you’re like me and still drawing some blanks on gifts for some people, check these out. These holiday trends make great last minute ideas, and I’m pretty sure I got three people covered this year just from these four ideas.

Some gift trends emerging this year are placing some great ideas in my head. As an example, kids want gross things this year, and adults want cozy things. Probably to make binge watching through the new year as comfortable as possible. I’ll be totally honest – and I hate blankets – but I’ll take one when I’m finishing up the new season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” True though, they’re saying that adults want “cozy” things. So pajamas, blankets, soft warm things we can wrap ourselves up in.

Kids, however, are looking fro gross things. They gave an example of board games that feature “poop and pimples.” I don’t know why that’s a hot thing for this year, but apparently you’ll get major points for something like that. There’s one game called “Don’t Step In It,” and it’s exactly what it sounds like. The object of the game is to avoid stepping in clay-like, poop-shaped things while blindfolded. All this time I thought it was just what we did when in my Uncle Kenny’s backyard – turns out I could have made millions. That game has been on Amazon’s best-selling toys list for quite a while.

Other trends for the holiday this year are more for the retailers. Stores are going virtual who have been physical stores for a while. Target, Kohl’s, and Walmart are all pushing their apps, with Target even giving a virtual catalog to browse. Ebay and Amazon are doing the opposite, and actually printing a physical catalog rather than relying on web-browsing only. It’s a fascinating turn of events in the battle of the retailers. Check out some more info over here.
