Does this “marketing” still work? Maybe. We are posting the story. TMZ is reporting there is turmoil behind the scenes of American Idol because Katy Perry is “habitually tardy.” As one of the judges, it’s important she’s there on time, but the crew says she’s usually around 30 minutes late.

On camera, you’d never know, all appears happy and chummy. But, there are already whispers that Katy and fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie lack chemistry. And, after Katy’s botched hosting gig of the MTV Video Music Awards, there’s fears that Katy might not be the best live.

American Idol is back March 11th on ABC.
