If you have been keeping track of the competition at NBC’s The Voice, then you already know this. But for the rest of you, Sacramento is representing strong!

KCRA 3 writes, “Sacramento native Shane Q moved on to the next round of NBC’s “The Voice” after winning the battle round Monday.

Shane Q battled Melinda Rodriguez as they both sang Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes.”

The singers’ coach Kelly Clarkson brought in R&B artist Normani as a mentor for the performance.

After the performance, each of the judges weighed in, saying the battle was close. But ultimately, Shane Q won.”

Up next is the knock-out round. Oh, and Kelly used her save this season on Rodriguez, keeping her in the competition.
