In 2014, two 12 year old girls stabbed a fellow classmate 19 times, saying that Slender Man instructed them to. Slender Man is a character in an online horror game. Morgan Geyser, the second teen involved in the case, has been sentenced to 40 years in an institution.

Geyser and Anissa Weier were both 12 when they stabbed Payton Leutner in Milwaukee. Leutner luckily survived the accident. She escaped and caught the attention of a passing biker.

Weier was sentenced to 25 years in an institution in December. She told the court at the time:

“I want everybody involved to know I deeply regret everything that happened that day. I know that nothing I say is going to make this right and nothing I say is going to fix what I broke.”

According to NME, Geyser suffered with schizophrenia and psychotic spectrum disorder. Her lawyer said:

“She has a condition she didn’t choose to have.”

Geyser said to the court in Wisconsin:

“I just want to let Bella [Luetner] and her family know that I’m sorry And I hope she’s doing well.”
