If you loved the movie Steel Magnolias as much as I did, you will love this! The fictional home of the Eatentons’ from the 1989, movie was turned into a charming bed and breakfast in 2014. The B&B, is in Louisiana and was recently featured in Southern Living. The nearly 6,000 square fot home hasn’t changed much since the movie. If you’re a fan of the movie, you’ll no doubt recognize the home from the famous wedding sendoff scene between Shelby and Jackson. There are five bedrooms for rent, each named after one of the movie’s saucy ladies, Clairee, Ouiser, Shelby, Jackson and Annelle. And, the most popular? Shelby’s room which is decorated in pink striped wallpaper like in the movie. Each night will run you $200/night. Call 318-238-2585 for reservations, which they recommend you make 60 days in advance.
