If you’re heading to the Sierra this weekend, you might want to pack your chains – just in case. The National Weather Service says we’re getting SNOW!!! Beginning Saturday afternoon/night we’ll see rain turn into snow at about 6,000 feet. 3 – 6″ of snow might not sound like a lot, but that’s quite a big change from the record breaking temps we just had in the valley earlier this week. So, if you’re heading up the hill, take it easy and be prepared for anything!
Mountain snow is expected this weekend with 3-6" possible at pass levels. A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect Saturday afternoon and continues into Monday
