The Capital City Yacht Club is expecting around 50 brightly decorated boats at tomorrow night’s 27th annual Sacramento Lighted Boat Parade.

The brilliant floating parade begins at Miller Park in Sacramento, motors past Old Sacramento, turns around at the Virgin Sturgeon and heads back down the river.

The best places for land lovers to view the parade is from the Tower Bridge, docks of Old Sacramento, aboard the Delta King Hotel of the Virgin Sturgeon, according to ABC 10. Just about anywhere along the riverbank is a good viewing spot, including Crawdads On the River and Chevy’s Fresh Mex.

You can expect a wide range of boats, from 70-foot luxury yachts to 20-foot cruisers decorated bow to stern.

The parade begins around 5:20, and should be passing Old Sacramento around 6 p.m. following Macy’s Theater of Lights. And yes, the parade will go on even if it’s raining.
