Sacha Baron Cohen is back, and this time he’s going after politicians.
After gaining international fame for Borat, the comedian is getting ready to drop his new show, Who Is America? Promotional material released for the new series reveals that Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney are among those tricked into interviews.
Palin, in particular, is not happy. She wrote a lengthy post on Facebook expressing her anger, reports PopCulture. According to her message, Cohen dressed as a disabled U.S. veteran in a wheelchair while interviewing her.
“Yup – we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” she wrote. “I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime.”

Other than what Palin has described in her post, there isn’t much information on what to expect from the show. She details that the long interview escalated with “disrespect and sarcasm” until she “physically removed my mic and walked out.”

Cohen also posted a promotional video on Twitter, which features Dick Cheney. In the clip, the disguised actor asks Cheney to sign a waterboard kit. The former Vice President signs it and says, “That’s the first time I’ve signed a waterboard.”
If nothing else, Who Is America? will certainly be controversial…. as is typical of Cohen’s productions.
