Sac Libraries Collecting Gently Used Formalwear For Prom

Did you know you can donate your old prom dress to the library?

Prom is a night many students dream of attending during their junior or senior year, but it can be a big financial burden, especially for only one night.

If you want to play fairy godmother to a local high school girl or boy, donate your gently worn formalwear to the Sacramento Public Library. 

Donations currently being accepted:

• Gently used formal dresses, suits, shoes, accessories (bags, purses, jewelry, bowties, ties, bolos, etc.) and other attire for her, him and them
• Various, extended, and plus sizes needed
• Clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories should be free of holes, stains, rips, and tears

Help fill the racks by dropping off items at any branch of the Sacramento Public Library now through March 30, 2023,
