The Sacramento City Unified School District says its students will continue distance learning until further notice as many California counties move back into the purple tier.

“This is disappointing news, as our district, like many in the Sacramento region, has been hard at work preparing our school sites and establishing health and safety protocols for reopening so that our students could safely return to schools,” the district said.

Campuses will not be allowed to reopen until the county moves back into the red tier. When this is achieved, the school district will take the necessary precautions to keep their students, staff, and faculty safe.
