Yahoo reports, “Invitations to the royal wedding have gone out — but there weren’t any addressed to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue or 10 Downing Street.
Royal correspondents are reporting that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have opted to not invite political leaders to the royal wedding, which mean President Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May will be staying home on May 19. (They’re still welcome to make a charitable donation for the wedding, of course.)
According to Richard Palmer, the royal correspondent for Britain’s Express newspaper, Kensington Palace has confirmed that welcoming world leaders to the nuptials was “not required.”
I bet that takes a load off of the couple!
