Kylie Jenner lost her title of having the most liked Instagram photo, when a stock photo of an egg surpassed her over the weekend.

According to Huffington Post, Jenner previously held the record of most liked Instagram photo, with her post announcing the birth of her first child. The picture of Jenner and Travis Scott’s daughter, Stormi, achieved over 18 million likes.

In its first post, the Instagram account, “@world_record_egg”, posted a simple photo of a brown speckled egg. The account’s objective was immediately clear, with the caption reading: “Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)!”

In just a few hours, the post received several million likes, and by the end of the day on January 13, the egg had surpassed Jenner with nearly 28 million likes. The account now has over 3 million followers and proudly boasts its achievement in its bio.

Reportedly, the person behind this account is a kid from the London area, and already has plans to monetize its success. In a post celebrating the milestone, the egg said: “This is a madness. What a time to be alive. It doesn’t end here though, we’re only just getting started.”

Kylie Jenner has responded to the surprise Instagram upset in stride, by posting her own video poking fun at the mysterious egg.
