This guy! We don’t know his name, but UPI reports he got pulled over last week on I-980 in Oakland for going 99 mph in a 65 mph zone.
He told the trooper he knew he wasn’t going that fast, because when the trooper showed him the radar gun, he said that must be the temperature outside. After an awkward silence, the guy finally signed the ticket. It also didn’t help that at the time it was only 80 degrees out, not 99! Might work in Sacramento tho? Ya?
Lucky for us Oakland CHP tweeted out the story…
Highway Patrol Stories: A vehicle was stopped for 🚗💨99 in a 65 mph zone on I-980. “I wasn’t driving that fast.” Officer showed him the 99 mph on the display. “The display must be the current temperature.” After an awkward silence for a few seconds😬 he signed his citation pic.twitter.com/xhaHn7Wuq7
