It’s official, their will be no host at the Academy Awards this year. The Academy finally made it official what everyone already assumed. The upside is the show will likely be shorter!

Instead, the Academy will have several high profile presenters. Whoopi Goldberg, Tina Fey and Chris Evans are already on the list.

Kevin Hart was picked to be the host, but quit the gig after old homophobic tweets of his resurfaced. He quit and said he had already apologized for his past.

It’s frustrating now to be in a society where we are judged for things we’ve done and said in the past constantly. I find myself constantly warning my children about this kind of thing.

“Be careful what you say in a post online.”

“Don’t take a picture of yourself and post online that you wouldn’t want your Grandmother to see.”

We also have to teach them a lesson on grace for those that do post things that you might not agree with. I learned a great phrase from the author Bob Goff, “Give away unreasonable amounts of grace, like it’s the only size it comes in.”
