The downtown Sacramento ice rink at St. Rose of Lima Park officially opens tomorrow (Fri Nov.2). And yes, I am aware it’s going to be close to 80 degrees.
This year, the ice rink is changing shape from an oval to a square with rounded corners to be able to fit a lot more skaters – 25% more – according to the Sacramento Bee. The rink, located at 7th and K Streets is also getting a new logo.
Since DOCO, the area around the Golden 1 Center, is busier than ever these days, they’re expecting it to be a pretty busy season.
Since Friday is opening day, you can skate for just $2!
Other theme days include:
- 11/2 – Opening day – $2 skate
- 11/3 – Princess and Superhero Day
- 11/10 – Celebrate the Art of Kindness
- 11/11-12 – Veterans Day (Active duty and retired military skate free with valid military ID)
