Netflix has announced that Grace and Frankie will be returning for its 7th and Final Season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the final season of the hit Netflix series will debut with 16 episodes. This final season of Grace and Frankie will bring the total episode count to 94 when it releases, making it the longest-running Netflix original series. Co-creators and showrunners, Marta Kauffman (Friends) and Howard J. Morris, commented on the success and achievement of the show. “It’s thrilling and somehow fitting, that our show about the challenges, as well as the beauty and dignity of aging, will be the oldest show on Netflix,” they said.

The sixth season of Grace and Franklin is set to premiere in January 2020, with Jane Fonda’s Grace and Lily Tomlin’s Frankie making their return, alongside Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn, and Ethan Embry. Fonda and Tomlin both commented on the bittersweet news of one last, final season. “We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace and Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season. We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation.”
