The most diverse cities in the United States are right here in Northern California according US News & World Report! The organization “examined 66 cities across the country with populations of 300,000 or more in order to calculate a diversity score based on census data.”

The report found Stockton to be the most diverse city in the US! But, the news wasn’t all good.

KCRA continues, “However, the report found diversity is not necessarily an indicator of equality or inclusiveness. That’s because the report found that a significant income gap still exists between white households and black and Hispanic households.”

Overall, the report suggested that a majority of the biggest cities are continuing to become more diverse, as about seven out of 10 grew in racial diversity from 2010 to 2018, according to U.S. News & World Report.

And Stockton wasn’t the only California city to rank high in diversity. Oakland came in at No. 2 and Sacramento ranked third.”
