The movie ‘A One-Sided Affair’ by local filmmaker Tom Maduell is now available on Amazon Prime.

Filmed primarily in a historic home on Almond Street in downtown Auburn, CA., the film is described by Amazon as a drama/comedy. “A famous composer dies and leaves behind a will with a strange stipulation that has his family pay a heavy price to keep the inheritance from being transferred to his cats.”

The cast includes Lorenzo Lamas, Will Durst, and Larry “Bubbles” Brown, as well as a supporting cast made up of local actors from Sacramento, Grass Valley and Auburn.

“The community’s support was amazing,” Maduell told Gold Country Media. “We had over a hundred volunteers, a wonderful family who donated their house, help from the Placer Film Commission, local hotels, business owners, the neighbors around the shoot. Everybody was positive and supportive. I love living here, the people are great.”

The movie is available to watch now on Amazon Prime’s streaming service.
