This statistic really surprised me, and I am not too sure why. But, it seems that a majority of Americans think you should marry for money and not love! Crazy right!?

According to a new, cheery study, the majority of Americans admit that they’d rather marry someone for money over love.

56% of people say that marrying someone who, quote, “provides financial security” is more important than marrying someone because they’re, quote, “head over heels” in love.

MarketWatch says, “This sentiment is held in almost equal measure by both men and women (54% and 57%). Generation Z (born between 1996 and 2010) is the only cohort to choose love (54%) over money.”

I think I’ll earn my own money, and marry someone who can stand me. Just my thing.
