History was made Monday night during the San Francisco Giants vs. Oakland Athletics opening game! Alyssa Nakken, a Woodland native became the first female coach in a game.. EVER! She made her first appearance last night as she coached first base in the exhibition game. She became a Giant in 2014 being a wellness initiator and planning events, including the event The Giant Race Series. 

Alyssa is a Sac Sate alum, graduating in 2012. She played softball being a four time Academic All-American playing first base!
