After a record setting 2017, the Sacramento International Airport is aggressively pursuing  what would be its first European airline or two! And, they’re really sweetening the pot to try and bring a carrier by offering an airline up to two years of free rent and up to $400,000 in marketing money, if they agree to offer a non-stop flight across the Atlantic from Sacramento.

The offer is targeting low cost European carriers, like Norwegian, Condor and Wow Air who fly out of Oakland other smaller U.S. airports. A spokesperson for the airport says they are having conversations with all those air carriers, telling them Sacramento makes a great secondary market” because of its convenience and proximity to many Northern California tourist destinations.”
