Lorne Michaels Supporting Pete Davidson Post-Breakdown
After writing an alarming message on Instagram on Saturday, many close to Pete Davidson have offered their support including his boss, Lorne Michaels.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, Pete Davidson posted a troubling message on Instagram before deleting his account.
The 25-year-old wrote: “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”
Alarm bells went off for many of his friends and family, including his ex, Ariana Grande. Many jumped to show support for the Saturday Night Live star, including the show creator, Lorne Michaels. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Michaels wants to help Davidson as much as possible right now. As such, the young star is taking some time off for the rest of the year and is expected to return to the show in 2019.

According to E! News, Grande also rushed over to the SNL studio in New York after seeing Davidson’s post. “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything. I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but I’m here too,” she tweeted at the time.
Davidson has been vocal about his struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder and suicidal thoughts in the past. Thankfully, it sounds like he has a great support system surrounding him during this difficult time. We hope he gets to a better place soon.
