TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – JANUARY 9: A stock broker watches a news update on Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s slightly improved state of health, in the trading room of the First International Bank of Israel January 9, 2006 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Recent news that Sharon had begun breathing on his own has helped the market recover some of its losses from last week’s two percent dive after Sharon suffered a massive stroke. If your coworkers can get a little catty sometimes try this trick from Buzzfeed 21 Conversational Hacks

“One way to avoid workplace drama and be well-liked is to compliment people behind their back.”

The idea is if someone is griping to you about something someone else did,  just shut it down with “X is just so great with customer service though,” or some compliment about the person they’re complaining about. Works like a charm, and sends the message ‘I’m not going to feed into this, so go away.'”
