A New York man is leading a $5 Million lawsuit claiming Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food contains a chemical found in weed killer.
The class action lawsuit claims the packaging touts natural food for dogs with no artificial flavors or artificial preservatives. However, an independent lab reportedly found the food contains glyphosate, the chemical herbicide found in brands like Roundup, reports Fortune.
The J.M. Smucker Company, which manufactures the food says it’s reviewing the claim, and stands behind the quality and of its products. They also plan to “aggressively fight” the lawsuit.
Rachael Ray is not named in the lawsuit.
