Dates are pretty easy to plan most of the time. You eat, you do something fun, and so on.
But Valentine’s Day is a high-pressure situation! Thankfully for us, Sacramento is full of cool things to do for a special Valentine’s Day date!
These are a few of my suggestions:
Get your tiki on at Jungle Bird!
Look for the green sign on J St. and step inside a beautifully themed tiki-bar right in the heart of midtown. With small bites, and an extensive cocktail menu, this is a stop that will not disappoint.
Dine in Midtown
I wanted to pick a restaurant or two to recommend, but there are so many good choices in Midtown Sacramento. If the place you pick takes reservations, definitely go that route for Valentine’s Day…everyone will have the same idea.
Grab Dessert at Rick’s Dessert Diner
No date night is complete without the cherry on top! Rick’s Dessert Diner is a Sacramento institution, serving delicious desserts since 1986!
Walk Capitol Park
After your dessert you’ll need to walk off some of those calories! Capitol Park is a lovely, and romantic walk almost any time of day, and puts you a short ride from my final recommendation…
See Cirque Du Soliel’s Amaluna
The Canadian cirque troupe Cirque Du Soleil are in West Sacramento “under the tent” with their latest touring production Amaluna! If you have ever seen a show from this company before, you know that you’d be in for a night you won’t soon forget! As of when I am writing this, there are still tickets available for Valentines Day!
Whatever you choose to do, make time for that special someone and enjoy your Valentine’s Day!
