Jerry Seinfeld Sued For Allegedly Stealing TV Show Idea
Jerry Seinfeld’s hit show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” is currently the focus of a lawsuit that alleges the comedian stole the show’s premise.

Jerry Seinfeld is currently on the wrong side of a big lawsuit…
According to TMZ, producer Christian Charles is suing the comedian and actor for stealing a TV show idea from him.
Charles is claiming that he provided Seinfeld with the idea behind his latest show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He says that back in 2002, he pitched the show idea to the comedian who had no interest in it. However, Seinfeld had a change of heart in 2011, calling Charles to ask about the original concept.
They went to shoot a pilot for the show, and plans for production budgets and marketing began. While this all sounds great, things apparently took a turn for the worse when Charles started claiming ownership interest in the show. Seinfeld allegedly got pissed and cut Charles out of the show, deciding to produce it without him.
Now, Charles is attempting to gain the credit he believes he’s due, as well as some monetary compensation. As Seinfeld is reportedly making $750,000 per episode now that it’s on Netflix, that’s not a big surprise.
