Jared Fogle, continues to baffle everyone. The former Subway pitchman is suing the judge and prosecutors who put him behind bars for 15 years.
TMZ reports that Fogle and two other inmates have filed a civil suit for $57 million. He believes that is triple the value of the career he lost when he was arrested for child pornography. His claim is that he was unjustly charged. Additionally, he takes aim specifically at the charge of conspiracy to receive pictures of minors.
Jared filed paperwork seeking a writ of habeas corpus. For some bizarre reason, he listed President Trump as a defendant. A judge has given him 30 days to remove the President of the United States from the petition.
He pleaded guilty to the charges when he was sentenced in 2015, but has since been trying to get the plea overturned. His legal filings suggest he believes the judge should have recused herself because she has teenage daughters. That request was denied.
The guy just won’t give up and quietly serve his time.
