So your kid wants to be a YouTuber?  There’s a summer camp for that!

The YouTube camp  teaches your child how to create a YouTube channel, shoot and edit video, even how to get followers, and grow their online presence.

Does anyone else thinking this is crazy too?   With 75% of children now say that’s what they want to be when they grow up, it makes good marketing sense.  It’s also safer this way.  Our kids are addicted to YouTube whether we like it or not, so we might as well teach them how to be safe while using it.

It’s held by a company called ID Tech, and they have two week long camps this summer at Sac State! Here’s what they say about it:

“YouTube is the place to bring your innovative visions to life. Make vlogs, gamecasts, tutorials, and more to establish an online presence and dive into video production. Capture footage with professional equipment and use tools like Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects to enhance your project. Put your creative endeavors together into a polished channel that’s sure to draw followers.”

Our kids are doing it anyway, so I guess we might as well teach them how to do it right.
