Heartwarming Moment Paralyzed Groom Walks Down The Aisle With His Bride
By on April 27, 2018
A former football player, left paralyzed after a spinal cord injury in a college football game 7 years ago, walks down the aisle with the help of his bride.
After the accident, doctors told Chris Norton he’d never walk again. But, Chris was determined to prove the doctors wrong and started making big strides toward his goal of walking across the stage to accept his diploma in 2015. He accomplished that with the help of his then girlfriend, Emily. Shortly after they became engaged and Chris set a new goal, to walk the seven yards down the aisle to say “I do,” which he was able to do last weekend, again with Emily at his side, helping him along the way. Afterward Emily said, “It was incredible to see how motivated he was. When he sets his mind to something, he does it. That’s why I fell in love with him.”

And, if you think this story stops here, you’re wrong. They’re such an incredible couple. They live in Florida where they are raising 5 foster kids, all under the age of eight. Chris has also started the Chris Foundation, which has raised more than $800,000 for people with spinal cord injuries. His story is also being told in a new documentary called “7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story.”
