The original Frozen film went on to gross an incredible $1.28 billion globally, becoming the top-grossing animated release of all time. With the impressive debut of its sequel, it remains to be seen if Frozen 2 will surpass the original. Disney distribution chief, Cathleen Taff, commented: “Granted, it’s not easy following up on the first film.” “Six years is a pretty big gap,” she continued, “but the length of time doesn’t matter when people feel invested in the characters.”
