David Schwimmer, who played the character of Ross Gellar on the hit television show, Friends, will be making his return to network TV later this year. According to Popsugar, Schwimmer will be starring on NBC’s Will and Grace, in a recurring role for its new season. His character will reportedly play a love-interest for Grace, Debra Messing’s character, and be featured in a “five-episode arc” on the show.

Will and Grace was successfully rebooted back in September of 2017, with the next season of the reboot premiering this fall. NBC also announced that Will and Grace will return for a third season since the revival of the show, with 18 episodes being ordered for the new season.

Popsugar reports that this role for Schwimmer will be his first return to network TV since his time on Friends, which ran from 1994 to 2004. Schwimmer also appeared on the limited series, The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. His appearance in the series earned him an Emmy award nomination in 2016, for his portrayal of the late Robert Kardashian.
