According to WESH 2, it all started when a woman called the police to report another car that kept running into hers. Police then traveled out to a McDonald’s drive-thru where they found Stevens sitting behind the wheel of the other car.
It was immediately clear that Stevens should not be driving. Not only did he have an open bottle of liquor in his passenger seat, but he also freely told the police he didn’t have a valid license. Police could easily smell alcohol on his breath, and Stevens reportedly said he felt “pretty good.”

However, when asked if he had been drinking, Stevens gave an insane answer. While he denied drinking and driving, he did admit to drinking while waiting for traffic signals and stop signs…
When police measured his blood alcohol content, he came in at 0.153 and 0.147. This is almost double the legal limit of 0.08 BAC.
Unsurprisingly, Earle Stevens Jr. was arrested with a DUI charge. This is on top of two previous DUI charges in Missouri, a fact he also revealed to police during their conversation.
