Sacramento County is opening its first Mental Health Urgent Care clinic tomorrow, Dec. 1.
The clinic is funded by the county, thanks to the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) and was made possible by Sacramento County’s Board of Supervisors, UC Davis, and Turning Point Community Programs, a local nonprofit.
According to WLTX 19, behavior health director for Sacramento County, Uma Zykofsky, stated that the facility will include services for psychiatry, medication, peer support and more.
The clinic will be open seven days a week.
