Fire Destroys Children’s Store In Arden, Breaks Out While Customers Are Inside

This is so scary! While customers were shopping at Once Upon A Child on Alta Arden and Howe Avenue, a fire broke out. Wualdina Thompson buying a rocker on Wednesday when the fire started and she ran out of the building. She told KCRA that when she turned around she could see flames through the window.
Amazing Tans next door also had to evacuate. And you know that fear that most people of have of being nude when a fire breaks out? That happened to Glenda Anderson. She was apparently in a tanning bed when an employee began banging on the door and yelling for her to get out.
Thankfully Glenda had time to put on her clothes and get out of the building. However, the fire wall did protect Amazing Tans from any damage.
Unfortunately, Once Upon A Child was destroyed and a firefighter was injured fighting the blaze. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but no other info has been released yet.
