Last week, we learned that after 85 years Jim Denny’s – the tiny Sacramento restaurant on 12th street – will soon close its doors. But hold on! What’s this? A family member has organized a fundraiser in an effort to save the diner.

“The only way to save this little gem is with your help! They own the building and the name but, do NOT own the land it sits on, so I am hoping to raise enough money to buy the property or at least enough to keep the doors open until the convention center reopens in 2022,” a Facebook post pleads.

The goal is to raise $80,000. Learn more about the fundraiser and see how they’re doing HERE.
