As I write this, over 600,000 SpongeBob Squarepants fans have signed an online petition asking the NFL to have “Sweet Victory” performed at the next Super Bowl halftime show, Fox News reports.

With the passing of the show’s creator, Stephen Hillenburg, after a battle with ALS last week, the movement has gathered a lot of steam on change.org.

SpongeBob’s rendition of “Sweet Victory” originally aired on the episode “Band Geeks” in 2001. SpongeBob and his bandmates performed the power ballad at the the halftime of the fictitious Bubble Bowl. David Glen Eisley, provided the vocals for the musical performance.

Maroon 5 is reportedly playing Super Bowl LIII’s halftime show in February, but “maybe the petition will inspire Adam Levine to belt out a few lines of the song in Hillenberg’s honor,” says Vice.
