Family Friendly Fourth of July Events in Sacramento

With 4th of July on a Monday this year, we’ll be celebrating all weekend!

If you’re spending the Fourth of July in Sacramento here are some great ways to celebrate that are all family friendly! Here’s a list of local celebrations for 2022…

  • Elk Grove Run 4 Hunger: July 4th at the Elk Grove Aquatic Center – 5K/10K run or walk to support the Elk Grove Food Bank Services – click HERE
  • 37th annual Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration: July 3 and July 4 at Hagan Park – click HERE
  • Folsom Pro Rodeo: July 1-3 at Dan Russel Arena – Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Mutton Busting, and Live Music with a spectacular fireworks show each night – click HERE
  • Fourth on the Field: July 4th at Sutter Health Park – Food Trucks and Fireworks – click HERE
  • Carmichael Elks Parade: July 4th – the parade down Fair Oaks Blvd from Marconi to Cypress begins at 10:30 a.m. – click HERE
  • Carmichael’s Red White and Blue Celebration: July 2nd at the La Sierra Community Center – Food Trucks, Live Music and Fireworks – click HERE
  • Roseville’s Fourth of July Fireworks:  July 4 at The Grounds. After the annual downtown parade in the morning the fun continues Royer Park followed by fireworks show at The Grounds – click HERE
  • July 4th 5 Mile Run/Walk: July 4th at Glenn Hall Park in Sacramento – There is NO entry fee. They just ask that you donate to WEAVE and/or the American River Parkway Foundation. click HERE
  • Drake’s: The Barn Red, White & Brew: July 4th in West Sacramento – Lay out your picnic blanket for prime viewing of the city’s pyrotechnics – more info HERE
  • Independence Day Boat Parade: July 2nd –  Saturday afternoon, watch decorated boats cruise the Sacramento River. The journey begins at 1 p.m. in West Sacramento and will pass along the Old Sacramento Waterfront at 1:30 p.m. – click HERE
  • Arden Park’s 4th of July Bike Parade and Festival: July 4th – the bike parade is followed by live music, a kid zone, and hamburgers/hot dogs in the park – click HERE
  • Pocket/Greenhaven 4th of July Parade: July 4th – the parade from YSP Academy to Garcia Bend Park begins at 10 a.m. – click HERE
  • Cottage Park 4th of July Celebration: July 4th at Cottage Park – discounted pool admission, FREE food and drinks provided the Fulton Avenue Business Association while supplies last – click HERE
  • Lincoln 4th of July Celebration: July 4th at McBean Memorial Park – family friendly free event from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. – click HERE
  • Celebrate America 2022 in Rocklin: July 1 & July 2 at Twin Oaks Park – music, food, kids’ zone, a military flyover demonstration, and fireworks – click HERE
  • Woodland July 4th Celebration: July 4th at several locations – pancake breakfast, bike parade & family fun fest, ice cream social, swimming, and fireworks – click HERE
  • Annual Fourth of July Family Blast: July 4th at the El Dorado County fairgrounds in Placerville – live music, carnival rides, food and fireworks – click HERE

  • Auburn Family 4th of July: July 4th at the Gold Country Fairgrounds – Parade at 10:30 a.m. – Food Festival & Vendor Fair from 5-9 p.m. and Fireworks at 9:45 p.m. – click HERE
  • Lights on the Lake Fireworks: July 4th along the South Shore of Lake Tahoe – fireworks begin at 9:45 and are visible from all over town – click HERE
  • Tahoe City 4th of July Drone Show: July 4th in Tahoe City – aerial drones are replacing fireworks to eliminate fire risk and pollution in Lake Tahoe while reducing noise pollution for domestic pets and local wildlife. – click HERE
