If you’re spending the Fourth of July in Sacramento here are some great ways to celebrate that are all family friendly! 

Celebrate America | Twin Oaks Park Rocklin | Sat Jun 29 – Sun Jun 30 | 4p-10p

Celebrate America is a patriotic musical, featuring a tribute to the military.  It’s a fun afternoon including a Kid Zone, food vendors, and fireworks. It’s free! 

Roseville 4th of July | Roseville Fairgrounds | Thursday, July 4 | all day

The Fourth of July in Roseville is always a fun-filled adventure and 2019 will see the return of fireworks at the newly updated fairgrounds. Best viewing is at Boulder Ridge Park.  Annual fun run starts the day to help local law enforcement provide scholarships for youth, parade at 9am, Post parade fun and entertainment in Royer Park from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Capitol Pops Concert Band, kids face painting, balloon artists, visiting the mobile library and participating in activities.

Folsom PRO RODEO | Dan Russell Arena | July 4 – 6 | 7:30 pm 

59th Annual Folsom Pro Rodeo with a spectacular fireworks show. Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Mutton Busting, the American flag arriving by parachute and Live Music.

Fourth on the Field | Raley Field | Thursday, July 4 | 6:00 – 11:59 PM

Fourth on the Field has become one of the best spots to have some fun in the sun on the Fourth of July in Sacramento. There will be food trucks and fireworks  on Thursday, July 4.  Parking $10. Additional information: 

July 4th 5 Mile Run/Walk | Glenn Hall Park | Thursday, July 4 | 6:30 – 9:30 AM

A 40 year long Fourth of July tradition!  Go on an early morning 5 mile run/walk through one of the most beautiful, shaded, and inviting areas of Sacramento. There is NO entry fee, they just ask that you donate to one or both of their designated community special service organizations. This year its WEAVE (outreach for domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking victims) and the AMERICAN RIVER PARKWAY FOUNDATION. 

Tahoe Park Spark-Tacular | Tahoe Park Playground | Thursday, July 4 | 10A – 2 PM

Spark-Tacular in Sacramento! A parade through the park, food trucks by SactoMoFo, Tahoe Park pool party fun, and water games.

Red, White & Brew | Drake’s: The Barn | Thursday, July 4 | 6:30 – 11:00 PM

Drake’s: The Barn in West Sacramento. The riverfront will be booming with activities for the whole family, including live music, delicious BBQ eats, and $5 photobooth. Party starts at 6:30pm, when you can lay out your picnic blankets and claim a viewing spot on their lawn.  The prime location will give you a front row seat to the city’s Independence Day pyrotechnics show, lighting up the skies above Old Sacramento. 

Fourth of July Family Bike Parade | Thursday, July 4 |10 AM – 12 PM

Come out with the family and ride around Bridgeway Lakes Community Park in the annual neighborhood Bike Parade. Show your July 4th spirit and decorate your bikes (and yourselves?) They will meet up in the Sprayground area at the park to get ready then ride around the park back to the Sprayground area where the kiddos can enjoy an otter pop and play with friends.
