It Could Be The End Of The $5 Footlong

WOAH! What? Um, we know the jingle, it can’t be over. Can it?

Well, Subway says it’s now going to allow its individual franchisees to decide whether to keep the iconic item on the menu. The company had discontinued it, but brought it back over the winter, upsetting several of its franchise owners because of its low profit margin.

Subway is also looking at adding some regional varieties to its chains and is even testing paninis here in California.
