Is Ellen DeGeneres planning to retire soon? Lately, some rumors have spread that the talk show host might be getting ready to hang up her hat.
Honestly, it wouldn’t be too out of the question if the 60-year-old feels ready to retire. After all, she’s been hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show since 2003. That’s quite a run. Entertainment Tonight caught up with the show’s DJ, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, who addressed the rumors.
“I can’t tell you anything about that, but I can tell you that I’ll be just as sad. I mean, it’s an amazing place to be in the afternoon, but you know what? She’s also put in mad years, right? So it’s like at some point in time, I feel like it’s going to have to end. But as far as an actual year, I have no idea. We’re just enjoying it.”

The good news is that just this year in January, DeGeneres herself said that she’s not looking forward to retirement.
“I don’t know [what I’m looking forward to],” DeGeneres said on Today at the time. “That’s why I’m going to keep doing this until I figure that out. I’m not looking forward to retiring because I love doing this.”
It’s also quite likely that, even if The Ellen Show ends, the comedian will adopt other projects.
