It Doesn’t Cost That Much More To Eat Healthy
By Felicia Czochanski on April 18, 2018
Researchers looked at more than 5 million recipes from more than 9,000 websites to figure out just how much more it costs to eat healthy foods, compared to unhealthy foods. Surprisingly, the healthiest meals were just $1 or $2 more, on average.
After doing all their number crunching, the researchers also put together list of the unhealthiest foods for the dollar:
- corn dogs
- cheeseburgers
- macaroni and cheese
- meatloaf
- sloppy joes
Other notables on the list: meatballs, hot wings, fried chicken, grilled cheese, pizza and ribs.
