Daylight Saving Time Starts This Weekend

If you can believe it, it’s almost time to spring forward! Yep! This weekend!! On Sunday, March 11th, we’ll spring forward an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday for the start of daylight saving time. And, when you do set your clock ahead on hour, it will be the 100th anniversary of daylight saving time in the U.S. It first went into effect March 19, 1918, during World War I, as an effort to preserve coal.
Fun fact. Arizona and Hawaii do not observe daylight saving time and in recent years a California lawmaker has been trying to end the practice, but has been unsuccessful.
