Dax Shepard won over Kristen Bell using the strangest pickup line.
Bell told all in her Instagram story after someone asked how she and Shepard met, reports PopCulture. It definitely wasn’t love at first sight.
The two first met in 2007 at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner. There “weren’t any sparks,” however, until they happened to run into each other again two weeks later.
“2 weeks later I saw him at a hockey game and he asked for the gum in my mouth,” Bell wrote, “and I was like HELLO…”

The Frozen star went on to reveal what he said in his first text to her: “Truly, his first text to me was: ‘Hi. My name is Dax. I violated your privacy and got your number from Shauna. How do you feel about that?’ And I thought…what the hell?? This kid is sassy.”
The couple has been going strong now for over 10 years and have two children together.
So what’s the secret to their successful marriage? “We go to therapy; We respect each others differences and don’t expect the other person to change,” she wrote.
