COVID-19 Hot Spots In Sacramento County

Sacramento County Health officials have identified the areas of Sacramento County that currently have the highest rates of COVID-19.
These areas include Del Paso Heights (zip code 95838), South Sacramento (zip code 95823) and Rancho Cordova/Gold River (zip code 95670).
Rancho Cordova/Gold River and South Sacramento each had 156 new cases of the novel coronavirus last week, according to KCRA 3,
This week was a little better in Rancho Cordova with only 12 new cases, while the virus surged in South Sacramento with 89 new cases. Del Paso Heights identified 52 new cases this week.
Since the pandemic began roughly four months ago, Sacramento County has identified 3,559 total cases of COVID-19. 69 people have died.
Half of all new coronavirus cases in Sacramento County are younger than 40 year old.
