Courteney Cox & Katey Sagal Joining ‘Shameless’
Courteney Cox and Katey Sagal have been cast in season 9 of ‘Shameless’! It sounds like they both might be playing potential love interests.

Courteney Cox and Katey Sagal have been cast in season 9 of Shameless!
According to Variety, Sagal will be playing a recurring character, psych patient Ingrid Jones. Her story line ties in closely with Frank’s (William H. Macy). Cox, on the other hand, has been cast as Jen Wagner, an actress with an alcoholic past that haunts her. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) works as her sober partner as she visits Chicago.

Sagal is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Leela in Futurama and Peg Bundy on Married With Children. Cox, of course, rose to fame playing Monica Geller on Friends. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her lead role in Cougar Town.
Shameless is going to hit over 100 episodes in season 9 with 14 episodes. It premieres on Sept. 9 on Showtime.
