City officials helped a 13 year old boy’s hot dog stand become legit, instead of shutting him down.

Jaequan Faulkner is now officially permitted by the city of Minneapolis. KARE 11, reports that Jaequan opened a hot dog stand this summer to help him raise money to buy new school clothes. Well, the city got a complaint about the stand, so the city’s health inspector, Logan Ebeling, got involved. However, instead of shutting him down, Ebeling helped him get permitted.

Ebeling says he helped Jaequan make some changes to his stand, adding a tent for overhead protection, a hand washing station and a meat thermometer. Staff at the Health Department also helped pay the $87 for his permit.
