Researchers looked at the correlation between the cost of wedding rings and how successful the marriage was. It turns out, the less spent on the engagement ring, the more likely the marriage will last.
According to NBC News, the study found that men who spent between $2,000 and $4,000 on an engagement ring had a higher rate of divorce (1.3 times) than those who spent between $500 and $2,000 on a ring. WOAH!
However, the scale tips both ways. Spending less than $500 on an engagement ring was found to be associated with higher divorce rates.
