Cal Expo will be taking in bus loads of people forced to leave their homes because of the multiple fires sweeping through the state this week.

The Cal Expo Fairgrounds are opening today (Thursday), with the Red Cross providing bedding, food and water as well as counseling and basic medical services, according to the Sacramento Bee.

The Red Cross is reportedly set up at the Clubhouse near the race track.
